Michael Costanza, MD earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard University, and he graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee where he served as administrative chief resident.  He then completed a 2 year fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.  Dr. Costanza has been certified by the American Board of Surgery in General and Vascular surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.  Dr. Costanza treats all forms of vascular disease and has a special interest and expertise in minimally invasive, endovascular therapy for aortic aneurysms, carotid artery stenosis, peripheral arterial disease, and varicose veins.  He is currently the Director of Endovascular Services at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.  Dr. Costanza also advocates the use of ultrasound screening for the detection of vascular disease, and he has organized several large, public screening events.  He is certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
